We invite applicants to enroll in the first year in 2025 at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
The Department of Biomedical Cybernetics trains specialists under the educational and professional program “Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Biomedical Systems” of the specialty F3 Computer Science, which lasts 3 years and 9 months.
Admission under the state order or at the expense of individuals/legal entities in 2025 is carried out based on the results of:
- NMT 2025 or 2024 with four competitive subjects (first, second, third, fourth subjects) or NMT 2023 or 2022 with three competitive subjects (first, second, third subjects).
- A motivation letter.
About the NMT
To participate in the competitive selection for a bachelor’s degree, it is necessary to take the NMT 2025. If desired, instead of the NMT 2025 results, applicants may use, if available, the NMT 2024 results with four competitive subjects (first, second, third, fourth subjects) or the NMT 2023 or 2022 results with three competitive subjects (first, second, third subjects).
In 2025, the admission process will use the results of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) in Ukrainian language, mathematics, and history of Ukraine (mandatory) plus physics or a foreign language (English, German, French, Spanish), or chemistry, or biology, or geography, or Ukrainian literature (the fourth subject is chosen by the applicant). It is also possible to use NMT results from 2022, 2023, or 2024. Registration for the NMT will begin on March 6 and end on April 3. The main NMT session will be held from May 14 to June 25 in Ukraine and in 32 countries worldwide, so you can take the test even abroad. The NMT is a comprehensive test of four subjects taken on a computer in special testing centers. The results will be available immediately after completing the test, and the official results of the main session will be announced no later than July 4. Detailed information about the NMT, the structure of the tests, and the procedure can be found on the official website of the Ukrainian Center for Educational Quality Assessment, which organizes and conducts the testing.

Competitive Score
For competitive selection for a bachelor’s degree based on the NMT 2025 results, the competitive score (CS) is calculated using the following formula:
CS = (K1 × P1 + K2 × P2 + K3 × P3 + K4 × P4 + KT × TK) / (K1 + K2 + K3 + (K4max + K4)/2 + KT) + OU, where:
P1, P2, P3, P4 – scores from the first, second, third, and fourth subjects of the NMT 2025;
TK – score of the creative competition (in cases provided by the Admission Rules);
OU – points for successful completion in the year of admission of preparatory courses at the higher education institution for admission to it, from 0 to 10 points, if applying to specialties that receive special support (Appendix 6 to the Admission Rules).
Subject coefficients K1, K2, K3, K4 are assigned for each specialty. For NMT 2024 results and in cases of a creative competition, the CS is calculated as follows:
CS = (K1 × P1 + K2 × P2 + K3 × P3 + K4 × P4 + KT × TK) / (K1 + K2 + K3 + K4 + KT) + OU
P1, P2, P3, P4 – scores from the first, second, third, and fourth subjects of the NMT 2024;
TK – score of the creative competition;
OU – points for successful completion of preparatory courses in the year of admission, for specialties from the list receiving special support (Appendix 6).
For NMT 2022, 2023 results and in cases of a creative competition, the CS is calculated as follows:
CS = (K1 × P1 + K2 × P2 + K3 × P3 + KT × TK) / (K1 + K2 + K3 + KT) + OU
P1, P2, P3 – scores from the first, second, and third subjects of the NMT 2022, 2023;
TK – score of the creative competition;
OU – points for successful completion of preparatory courses in the year of admission for specialties from the list receiving special support (Appendix 6).
The average grade of the secondary school certificate and points for preparatory courses are not taken into account.
