We invite those interested to enter in 2023 the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
The Department of Biomedical Cybernetics conducts training of specialists under the educational-professional program “Computer Technologies in Biology and Medicine” for specialty 122 Computer Science, which lasts 3 years and 9 months.
Admission to the Bachelor’s level is possible after completing school and obtaining a certificate of complete general secondary education.
In 2023, admission for state-funded places or at the expense of individuals/legal entities is based on the results of:
- The National Multidisciplinary Test (NMT) 2023 or NMT 2022, External Independent Assessment (EIA) of 2021-2020.
- Motivation letter.
About NMT:
For competitive selection for bachelor’s degree studies, it is necessary to pass the NMT of 2023. If the applicant wishes, instead of the results of NMT 2023, either the results of NMT 2022 or the EIA of 2021-2020 in three competitive subjects (first, second, third subjects) can be counted.
Results of the EIA 2021-2020 (if available) in Ukrainian language and literature/ Ukrainian language, mathematics, history of Ukraine, foreign language, biology, physics, chemistry can be counted instead of the results from the corresponding subjects of NMT 2023 or NMT 2022, if the score difference between NMT and EIA for the respective subject does not exceed 15 points.
About the motivation letter:
A motivation letter is written information in any format about the interest in entering the Igor Sikorsky KPI and relevant expectations, achievements in studies and other activities, personal strengths, and weaknesses.
The motivation letter is written in electronic format and attached when applying for admission in the applicant’s electronic cabinet.

Application submission:
Applicants can submit up to 5 applications for state-funded places and up to 20 applications in total, both for state-funded places and at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities (contract-based).
To submit applications for admission, it is necessary to register an electronic applicant’s cabinet on the website vstup.edbo.gov.ua starting from July 1st.
The submission of applications and documents, the NMT session, competitive selection, and enrollment of applicants based on complete general secondary education is carried out within the following deadlines: *

Applications are submitted exclusively electronically through the applicant’s personal electronic cabinet on the website vstup.edbo.gov.ua, except in cases specified in section VI.3. of the 2023 Higher Education Admission Procedure.
Applicants entitled to special admission conditions, set by the 2023 Higher Education Admission Procedure, will compete within the quota-1 and quota-2.
Competitive Score
The average grade of the certificate of complete secondary education, as well as scores for successfully completing preparatory courses of a higher education institution in the year of admission, are not taken into account.
For first-year admission:
- Based on the certificate of complete secondary education, according to the results of the NMT 2023, NMT 2022:
Competitive Score (CS) = (K1*P1 + K2*P2 + K3*P3) / (K1+K2+K3)
where K1, K2, K3 are the weight coefficients of scores from the first, second, and third subjects (a full list is provided in Appendix 7 to the Admission Procedure). P1, P2, P3 are scores from the first, second, and third subjects.

- Based on the certificate of complete secondary education, according to the results of the EIA 2021-2020:
Competitive Score (CS) = (K1*P1 + K2*P2 + K3*P3) / (K1+K2+K3)
Where P1, P2, P3 are scores from the first, second, and third subjects. K1, K2, K3 are the weight coefficients of subject scores in one of these years for the respective specialty.
Individuals who are members of the national teams of Ukraine and participated in international Olympiads (according to the orders of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine), Olympic, Paralympic, and Deaflympic Games (upon submission by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine), are credited with scores of 200 points for two entrance tests of the applicant’s choice.
If, after multiplying by the coefficients, the competitive score exceeds 200, it is set to equal 200.
The minimum score for participation in the competitive selection for obtaining a bachelor’s degree:
• for state-funded places is 130.
• for places funded by individuals and/or legal entities is 100.
Submission of original documents for admission:
After receiving recommendations for enrollment in the applicant’s electronic cabinet, it is necessary to submit the original documents for enrollment at the place of study within the specified deadlines (as indicated in the table above).
You can submit originals by:
• Remotely to the email fbmi-vstup@lll.kpi.ua, sending scanned copies of the necessary documents, signed with a qualified electronic signature, with the list of which you can find by following the link.
• Submit the list of documents in person at the address: Kyiv, Academika Yangela Street 16/2, 4th floor, office 4-06.
