You can continue your studies after obtaining a master’s degree by enrolling in a PhD program at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.” This is the next – third (educational and research) level of higher education. Studies at this level last 4 years. Admission to the PhD program is possible with a master’s degree or an educational qualification level of specialist.

If you are applying for the PhD program, you must take the Unified Entrance Exam (UEE), which consists of two parts – a foreign language of your choice (English, German, French, or Spanish) and the General Learning Competence Test (GLCT). In 2025, admission to the PhD program will also require a mandatory Unified Entrance Examination (UEE-M) in Research Methodology. These exams (UEE and UEE-M) are conducted using the organizational and technological processes of external independent evaluation, and their results are valid for admission to all higher education institutions.

To take the UEE and UEE-M, you must register from May 2 to May 23 (until 18:00) at any higher education institution authorized to register applicants for these entrance tests, and then take the UEE and/or UEE-M between July 7 and July 28. After successfully passing the UEE (at least 150 points for each component) and the UEE-M (at least 100 points), you will take a specialty entrance exam at the university (from September 8 to September 20) and submit a motivation letter.

Submission of applications to the PhD program in 2025 will begin on September 3 in electronic form, through personal applicant accounts at https://vstup.edbo.gov.ua/.

Please note that in 2025 admission to the full-time PhD program will be possible only through state-funded positions. Admission to part-time and evening study forms is possible through state-funded positions (if available) or on a contract basis (funded by individuals and/or legal entities).
