We invite those interested to apply for the Master’s program in 2023 at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
The Department of Biomedical Cybernetics provides specialist training in:
• An educational-professional program (“Computer Technologies in Biology and Medicine” with a specialty in 122 Computer Sciences) which lasts 1 year and 4 months and is aimed at training specialists in a specific field for further professional work.
• An educational-scientific program (“Computer Sciences” with a specialty in 122 Computer Sciences) that lasts 1 year and 9 months and is designed for the graduate’s further scientific work.
It is possible to attain a Master’s degree based on a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (educational qualification level of a specialist) in the corresponding or another specialty.
For admission, you need to pass:

About UEE:
The Unified Entrance Exam (UEE), like the External Independent Evaluation but specifically for Masters. In form, it is a computer test consisting of two parts – a foreign language (English, German, French, or Spanish, depending on the applicant’s choice) and a test of general educational competence (TGEC) to verify the necessary level of knowledge in critical, analytical, and logical thinking.
UEE is mandatory for all applicants, regardless of specialty or form of financing (budget/contract). The exam can only be taken in specialized centers in Ukraine or abroad (depending on what you specify during registration).
Registration for the UEE will take place from May 8 to 31:
• For applicants who graduated from the Bachelor’s program at Igor Sikorsky KPI in 2023, registration will be through the Electronic Campus System.
• For applicants who graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in previous years or from other institutions, registration will be through filling out a form on the website.
About the Professional Exam:
The comprehensive professional test (professional exam) takes the form of a written exam based on the core subjects of the specialty.
The exam can be conducted in a face-to-face format (i.e., in university lecture rooms) or in a remote format (i.e., using the video conferencing software “Zoom”).
Registration for the professional exam takes place through the applicant’s personal electronic account on the website vstup.edbo.gov.ua.

About the Motivation Letter
A motivation letter is a written account, in any format, detailing interest in enrolling at Igor Sikorsky KPI, corresponding expectations, academic achievements, achievements in other activities, as well as personal strengths and weaknesses.
The motivation letter is written electronically and is attached when submitting the application in the applicant’s electronic cabinet.

Application Submission:
Applicants can submit up to 5 applications for state-funded places (budget) and up to 20 applications in total, both for state-funded spots (budget) and at the expense of individuals and/or legal entities (contract).
To submit applications, you need to register the applicant’s electronic cabinet on the website vstup.edbo.gov.ua starting from July 1.
The reception of applications and documents, entrance examinations, competitive selection, and enrollment of applicants to the Master’s program are carried out within the following deadlines:*

Applications are submitted exclusively in electronic form, through the personal electronic cabinet of the applicant on the website vstup.edbo.gov.ua, except for cases specified in section VI.3. Rules of Admission for Higher Education in 2023.
Competitive Score
The average bachelor’s degree score and creative achievements of this year are not taken into account.
The competitive score is calculated using the formula:
CS = 0.2*P1+0.2*P2+0.6*P3
where P1 is the UEE general educational competence test score,
P2 is the UEE foreign language test score,
P3 is the professional exam score.
The minimum score to participate in the competitive selection for obtaining a master’s degree:
• for state order places is 130.
• for places funded by individuals and/or legal entities is 100.
Submission of Original Documents for Admission
After receiving recommendations for enrollment in the applicant’s electronic cabinet, it is necessary to submit original documents for enrollment at the specified times (indicated in the table above).
Originals can be submitted:
• Remotely to the email fbmi-vstup@lll.kpi.ua, sending scanned copies of the required documents signed with a qualified electronic signature (QES), the list of which can be found at the link.
• Personally submit the list of documents to the address: Kyiv, Academician Yangelya Street 16/2, 4th floor, office 4-06.
