The Department of Biomedical Cybernetics hosted a seminar following the international academic trip of Associate Professor Illia Fedorin, titled ‘Horizon Europe Through the Eyes of an Expert: Key Lessons from the Consensus Evaluation of Project Proposals’.
During the event, the experience of participating in the international expert panel of the Horizon Europe program was presented, along with a discussion on the specifics of the proposal evaluation process, selection criteria, and factors that influence project competitiveness.
Special attention was given to the common reasons for losing evaluation points, the requirements for building a strong consortium, the justification of research methodology, and practical recommendations for preparing successful grant applications.
The seminar participants gained valuable insights into the logic behind the work of Horizon Europe expert panels and the opportunities for developing international scientific cooperation for the department’s future projects.
