The activities of the department of Biomedical cybernetics aimed at bachelors, masters, and highly qualified specialists in the field of knowledge
12 “Information Technology” in the direction of 122 “Computer science”.
The department trains specialists in “Computer Technology in Biology and Medicine” competent in designing and developing software. This allows professionals to prepare generalists capable of including the creation of medical information systems, medical systems for robotics and nanotechnology, medical diagnostic devices and monitoring body, telemedicine. In addition, the department provides a thorough knowledge of the direction of data mining, which is increasingly important in the world.
Graduates are prepared to work in modern IT companies as well as for research on theoretical and clinical departments in higher educational institutions of Ministry of Health of Ukraine, research institutes and NAMS of Sciences of Ukraine, public health care (clinical hospitals, diagnostic centers) , in private diagnostic centers and clinics, the pharmaceutical companies, diagnostic facilities in Ukraine and leading countries. Staff of the department consists of 20 employees, of which 11 people – faculty, 4 – support staff, and 4 individual faculty members working part-time. The department has 3 doctors, 7 candidates of sciences, 3 senior lecturers and 2 assistants without a degree.
